I'm sure that there are tons of research on new higher capacity batteries. I wonder when they will hit the market. That would be an insane money maker as nearly all rechargeable portable electronics use lithium ion technology.

You guys can do simple math. The stock battery is 1350mah, the Seidio extended is 2000mah.
This batter lasts 1.5 times longer.

So if the stock battery lasts you 16 hours, then the extended will last you 24 hours (under the same amount of usage of course)

If your battery life is that bad, I don't see where a 50% increase helps. So your phone will run until 8am without dying instead of midnight. How does that help when you need to recharge it overnight anyway?

omg that is ugly. How thick can it get. Maybe a small gas generator taped on the back?

People frequently have reasons to go overnight without a charger. People sleep over at a friend's house after a night of drinking, one-night stand, business day-trip, camping, etc. There are plenty of reasons why people would need something that lasts that long.

I'd be happy if WITH the extended battery my TP lasted 16 hours. I can typically hit 20% by 2 or 3PM.

Seriously? Seriously? Jeez, people, have you NEVER seen an extended battery before? This is NOT unusual, and it's not really that thick. I've seen a heck of a lot worse. What's with the rampant exaggerations and unrealistic expectations?

honestly it isnt really that thick at all. its liker less than half as thick as my old moguls extended battery.

OK, been using it today and so far so good.. I'm ignoring the ugly comments as I need a battery that can get me through a busy day at the office where I don't have time to charge if I am in meetings and will last me through a night when I don't get home until midnight. I pull it off the charger at 6am and with the 50% extra I should be able to pull that off.

I will wait until the end of next week to offer performance feedback since it takes a few cycles to see the real results.

I was pretty tough on the original pictures Seidio released, but this doesn't look that bad. When put into perspective (next to someone's fingers for example), it just looks like a little bulge. Seidio's pics make it look like they doubled the phone's thickness.

I think I'll still hold out for a larger capacity, but this much better than I thought it would be.

Yeah, it's not like I'm in a fashion show with my phone either. If I wanted a small phone I'd go back to a dumbphone.
