Update on my RAPH800 manufactured 11.18.2008. Still flawlwss hardware-wise; still running stock rom, no hard reset besides unlocking it. Lots of registry tweaks, power consumption was way better than the DIAM500 out of the box. Only heats up when playing video, but that is to be expected of any GPU chipset on any platform when using hardware acceleration. Disabled ActiveSync power saving mode after finding it doesn't play nice with making a sync connection. Otherwise, your normal WinCE crashes here and there. Especially on December 31st for some reason.

So, I'm gonna try to slipstream a newer WinCE build into the stock Sprint ROM and re-add all my Reg tweaks, as I've heard good things about the 2100 series builds.

where would the newer version of WinCe be located?

I have a manufacturer's date of 12/9/08 and software version 1.03.651.4

Are u sure about that? Did u dial ##786# and get it from there?

A lot of people have the *.4 ROM. The word on the street is that not much is changed.

edit: Oh wait, so most have *.2, and a lot have *.3, and now we are seeing *.4? This is the first 4 I have heard of.

That might explain the SPB ROM warning i received. My first TP was one of the VERY first so it was probably .2 where my new TP is .3. Thats the first person Ive seen with .4 but my build date is almost two weeks after theirs. Thats kinda fishy.

Ok well something ironic happened today. I couldnt get over the ROM message from SPB Backup about my ROM versions being different so I did a hard reset. And sure enough my ROM number was different and was now 1.03.651.4. Also when using ##786# if u look under the Software version (ROM) you'll see Firmware and Hardware versions. My Hardware version says 0002 as if to say there was a 0001. Lets list a few of those and see what the difference is.

new hardware revision? zOMG!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

This might be clear proof that they did some tweaking but mine still gets hot from time to time . Its not as bad as it was on my first TP but a marked improvement.

I just thought my screen was dim, but from a previous post on page 1 I believe with the 2 screens compared I have the yellowish one, I have Total Commander but have not loaded it on my phone, doing researching first because I do not know the first thing about this phone or anything to do to it. But my rom is 1.03.621.4 and the hardware version is 0002 build date is the 15th of December, wonder if anything is different?
