isn't it more like this?
[]<o>[] with an arrow on top and on bottom of the circle? (the []'s are talk/home and back/end, whereas the arrows are up/down/left/right located just outside the circle)

how about getting the dpad to have the option of scrolling in all applications? also set different scroll speeds

I get ya hibby! Great thinking! But I think the better use of the D-pad ring would be a better suit for most.
