Re: Blurry pictures
Everyone keeps mentioning a "steady hand". From the very first post, I have been taking about MOTION pictures. Yes, with the autofocus and hi 3 MB camera, a perfectly still picture comes out good. I just cant understand why my 2 year old LG wimpy camera phone can take clearer motion pictures than the TP. Man, I with there was a way to fix this.

Re: Blurry pictures
It's not that hard to understand. 1) Autofocus is slow on the TP. Your LG either did not have it, or had a faster autofocus engine. 2) The camera application and processing engine on the TP is relatively slow. Your LG was probably faster, not the least reason for which is the resolution is lower. 3) The TP does not seem to do auto ISO, or does not do it as aggressively as other phones. This affords better image quality but at the cost of shutter speed. Slow shutter speeds do not freeze moving subjects.

Re: Blurry pictures
This phone takes ATROCIOUS pictures.
Unless its on a tripod taking a pic of a statue its a blurry picture. Terrible design on some level. Ive taken phone pics with several other PPC phones , andeven my old Moto Q and none had the blurry problem this phone does. Its pitiful really. |

I tried to take a decent pic of my 8 year old daughter a few days ago in the house at night by the Christmas tree. She is very photogenic & loves to have her picture taken. I told her to hold perfectly still & smile. The TP took so long to respond, & autofocus in & out about six times that she finally looked down just as the shutter snapped........... ~John |

Re: Blurry pictures
Both taken with my Pro. The top picture is on a small ferry so there is some motion. The PHONE (remember camera's are after thoughts) has a slow shutter speed and a cmos sensor. The shutter speed is about .5 of a second from what I would guess and the cmos has a lot of noise with whites. I really needs some good (read: easy) conditions to take good pictures. |

Re: Blurry pictures
I agree about the slow shutter speed (& the AF lag is absolutely ridiculous), but a cmos sensor can take awesome pics. I have two D-SLR Canon EOS cameras with cmos sensors & they are pro grade cameras.
