You need to extract the files from a Telus Stock Rom and install the Telus PPST cab. Then navigate to \Windows and run PPST.exe.

PRL stands for preferred roaming list
PRI stands for preferred radio instructions

Has anyone had any luck with getting the GPS Photo function to work? I've got my GPS unlocked now, but the camera program doesn't seem to have a way to set what port it should be connection to.

I've tried turning my location on and off a few times, tried all different kinds of settings in HTC GPS tool, but so far have been unable to get a sat lock in anything.

I went about 4 miles this morning and still got no lock in GPS tool, Google Maps, or Live.
I tried manually setting the GPS settings in Google Maps but it said no GPS found
Also tried reinstalling the GPS fix.


I'm running Scott's second ROM with no alterations on a VZW XV6850.

I'm going to mess with it more later but im just reporting my findings

I downloaded WMDRIVER from GC's xda page. Mayve that's the wrong one? Still can't download Bored's orig link....

Ok. I got into the dmrouter mode. When I go to add ports - com 4 is not listed. Just Com7 USB/QC Data Modem & Com 8 USB/QC Diagnostic

If I try to add com 4 I get error message enabling."the port may not be worjking properly.... (-2147467259)

It must be a setting I have somewhere. Should I go back to the original ppst?

I posted the answer to this a few posts back....

It doesnt matter if it shows on COM 4. Thats only on the OP's computer. If my computer had 4 com ports already then this may show up as 5 and 6. If you have active sync already and sync with bloothtooth then you may be using 5 and 6 so it will show up as 8 and 9. Etc etc etc... If I had 8 com ports then this may show up as 10 and 11... To be honest with you as long as it shows up and you connect to it you are good. When you try to connect to COm4 and get that error its because you already stated the phione is on COM7/8. Just keep going.

The port in QPST has NOTHING WHAT SO EVER TO DO WITH GPS PORTS just so you know. IM sure this question will be asked again as soon as a new page is started.

Thanks - I don't want to f' up my phone.

I did as you asked even though Bored said to "add Ports tab and add SURF7500A to Com4"

When I add to new ports I still don't see SURF7500A listed ANYWHERE.
The added ports show:

Com7 No Phone
Com8 WInCE (.........45).

No SURF 7500A..
Then if I go to service programming I see a strange SPrint phone number....

Please help -- I just don't want to screw this up & I'm not seeing what should be listed.

Ok, here's a cab I made to easily fix the Sprint banner problem without having to do any QPST edits or additional work. If your banner says Sprint, just install the cab and soft reset and it will be fixed.
