New Sprint Touch Pro will not update to any ROM

ok what usb cable are you using? also make sure, that once the device goes into bootloader that its being properly detected in the device manager. the boot loader should also say USB on trhe white protion.

I am now convinced that this HSPL by Raphael does not work for all of our sprint touch pros. I have tried everthing and followed all directions to the letter. but everything I do always put the phone on to a loading screen (Loading........) and then my active sync disconnects and I get a 202 or 260 error and I have to softreset to get out of it. Are there anyother HSPL's out there?

ERROR [202, 204] : CONNECTION
This error message will appear when the device is not connected to ActiveSync correctly.
Make sure you properly connect the device to the PC through ActiveSync before running RUU.

ERROR [260] : CONNECTION
This error occurs when there is an “open port error” before upgrading the CE ROM
image.
Solution: You can reset the device and run RUU again. If you still encounter an “OPEN
PORT ERROR” again, reset your computer and try again.

im using the stock sprint cable that came with the phone. as for bootloader are you saying that I need to put the phone into bootloader or the hspl is suppose to do that when I initialize it?

its not the spl its a connection issue, if it were the spl it would error out because of device specific info.

yes the hard spl should send the device to boot loader mode. it should pop up on the device asking if you wish to allow the bootloader app to run, select yes and it should send the device to boot loader and flash the HSPL

I see exactly what ur talking about but mine isn't asking me anything. it just immediately goes to a grey screen that says loading...... but goes no further than that.

Try the following:

1. With device NOT connected to your PC, delete the partnership from activesync (on your PC)
2. Connect it again, and when it asks to setup a new partnership, click cancel. (this makes you a "guest"
3. Proceed with the instructions for flash.
