This would be my second time if i return it, first one had a dead pixal, this one with a chip and smudge... I am wondering any have tried returning because of the chip issue?

I had the same issue with my Touch. It's either a small break that is causing the LCD to leak or the digitizer slightly pulled away. I'm on Verizon so this doesn't necessarily apply to you but I went into a store, they saw there was no other physical damage and the water sensor hadn't gone off and then they shipped me a new phone 2-day. I would hope Sprint or BB would give you the same service for a defect like that.

I have the same "oil slick" beneath my screen. It's visible only in the right lighting/angle, but I agree it's annoying. One interesting fact about it is that it seems to move when you tap different parts of the screen, and varies in size from day to day.

I also have a piece of chrome peeling on the right edge of my phone.

I have TEP, but I am reluctant to go for an exchange at the store because the TP is sold out everywhere!

I tried calling sprint and they basically said no i have to go to best buy because it's there inventory. So, whoever bought it at bestbuy cannot exchange it through sprint.... just a heads up....

Do you have TEP? If so, Sprint SHOULD replace it for you if they have the stock.

I got a replacement at best buy plus a 50 price match back. I think this is a new build because the power button is bigger... but all in all.. i got my new phone that good and i am happy!!!!!!!!!

Bigger power button? Can you show us a picture, and also the build date? You can find out your build date by going into EPST (usually ##778#, then View). Mine is 10/25/08.

11/18..... i'm pretty sure because it feels different and i don't remember the power button being so big.. BUT than again i can be mistaken.. i will compare it to my cousin probably around friday. I would post some pics but don't have a camera..

My Vogue has the same problem. It looks like complete *** and it's getting worse and worse. Nip it in the bud as soon as you can and try to get Sprint to replace it for you.
