Hey cullenlinn,

I couldn't understand what you meant by curved and straight, until I tried to put a touch pro screen protector on diamond, now I see what you mean.

Do you think I will be able to replace both the LCD and the navi panel (home, back, talk, end, and the smarttouch) in the same time and get around the shape? ie, will the parts fit?

From the looks of it, the touch pro lcd and digitizer aren't interchangeable with the touch diamond's - it appears to me that the diamond's digitizer is curved whereas the touch pro's is straight. This is at least the case with the sprint touch pro and the sprint diamond (I've got both sitting on my desk right now). Beyond that, I'm not sure if they are compatible at a functional level.

I don't really know. I can't take apart my touch diamond to check the screw patterns (it's a loaner from the cell company so I don't think they would appreciate that). Sorry.

I tried super heating it (375 degrees Fahrenheit), and prying it both with no luck. In the end, I purchased an $80 digitizer + lcd off of ebay and installed it. Everything's working well now.

An update on my problem, I found a replacement to the entire front half of the device on auction and tried it out. Turns out my problem wasn't the LCD/digitizer but the circuitry controlling the bottom buttons (home, back, etc.).

I removed the ribbon cable first and transferred it to the "bad" front with no luck (screen still blank with backlight). When I replaced the bottom buttons with the replacement, magic happened. Everything is running smoothly now.

I wish I had found this out before I killed my original LCD/digitizer part. The "new" one has some bad scratches, and I'm not sure what to use to remove them.

Seems I have same problem and no warranty(custom ROM). Where I can get bottom buttons with circuitry?

I've seen a couple on eBay on and off over the last couple of months. Try searching for "htc touch pro keypad" and "htc touch pro parts".

Who knows, in CDMA and GSM version of raphael "bottom buttons with circuitry" are identical?

Looks like I'm the latest victim. I took it to a Sprint repair center and they replaced the LCD but the screen is still dead. Good thing I have TEP. My replacement will be coming on Friday afternoon.

I have the same thing going on now. Fully functional, can receive calls, etc. but the screen is blank.
The buttons are turned on, all 4 of them.
