I tried but it was a no-go for me. They insisted that I don't qualify to renew my current contract (which is a 2 year) until October. I was hoping they could "reset" the contract to begin another 2 year starting when they sell me the phone. Argh. Maybe I should try a different store?

i would call sprint first, have them add some notes, then make sure bb calls sprint support people, they will most likely ok it

I didn't know that BB calls Sprint for stuff like that. Even Sprint themselves wouldn't call retentions from the store to get me my deal on site

This does indeed suck.. still a no go for me.. went to a sprint store yesterday.. talked to the sweetest girl, she called either retentions or customer care.. but still wont let me upgrade.

ask for a retentions manager dont give up, i am willing to bet you can get it, just keep talking and being nice, you will probably find someone willing to help.

As far as BB I called retentions first, they added notes to the account, BB called there sprint people, they read the notes, and forced it thru

I surprised you guys have so many problems. I went to BB, showed the Customer Service guy the add, he said it didn't show up as $199, he asked the phone peeps if it was on sale, they said yeah, and he did a price adjustment and the $100 is back on my Visa already...
