Jordans.. thanks so much for this info, it has honestly been driving me insane.

Do you know how we can find out when the fix is available?

No problem, since I know the guys both at Bell and HTC, I am on them and reminding them. Hopefully it will be soon, but you know how these things are. It may be a low priority, not sure.

I am pushing for a pre-release as well, maybe we can get an advanced fix.

Any update? Just got my TP yesterday and already found this problem

If this is a software problem maybe you guys should flash a custom rom.

Patch attached. I found this worked great. This has been floating around some developers sites. Does the trick, enables sound and vibrate alerts for email.

anybody know if this will work on a sprint tp for sms sounds? I am having a similar problem. My sms sound doesn't work. I don't use push email so I don't know if that works or not. I have sound enabled and have tried custom tones and stock tones and neither work. They do play in the sounds and notifications options though. Very frustrating! I get lots of sms and need this to work!

I installed the bell ui on my sprint touch pro, and my email notification sound stopped. i dont know how to get it back.

Ah, so it's the Bell UI that eliminates the sound notification...interesting that even with the Bell Ui not selected, it still doesn't fix the sound.

Anyways, install the .cab above, it will bring the sound/vibrate alerts back.
