just to let you know, you are not entirely correct. the rumor had a recall and customers WERE NOT notified of via email, phone, or mail. You said in your previous post that when there are recalls that customers are notified. check your facts bruh!

Well, I guess the question still remains. Did HTC simply not manufacture enough of these or they pulled/recalled whatever Sprint had in their warehouses to fix some problems.

There is no Verizon recall I just got off the phone with my HTC rep he says there is no recalls on either device but can only fully confirm VzW as thats what he deals with but that HTC would never recall a handset for software issues that they would just push a software update. He did do some looking thru the system though and said VzW and SPCS will have a update by end of January maybe sooner SPCS to fix certain issues and VzW to add apps in and that SPCS has requested a design update but he is not sure the specifics on it.

First of all...bruh...facts as to when and what the Rumor was recalled for. I would hardly call something a recall if it wasn't "recalled"...

Just to add to the controversy here, is it plausible that a ROM update is coming sooner rather than later (maybe by year's end) and HTC/Sprint just want to make sure as many ship with it as possible?

I got an "early" TP and it has almost no issues except the ordinary annoyances we deal with everyday on the phone. I expect the vast majority of owners are the same way, it's just (rightfully) those who have worse issues who crow the loudest. A recall sounds pretty unlikely to me.

It's also possible that the term recall was mistakenly used by the CS rep instead of the word rework. It would not be unusual for them to pull existing inventory from the warehouse to rework a specific issue, such as the chrome fix or a replace a component that has a high failure rate (e.g., backlight, keyboard, radio, horrific hardware nav buttons, etc.)
