I am completely against this. I don't want them charging extra for some piece of crap accessory that I will never use. The people who really want/need this will buy or make it.

Re: Video out cable

I took the easy way out and bought one of these for my VZW pro: http://cgi.ebay.com/TV-OUT-VIDEO-OUT-CABLE-FOR-HTC-TOUCH-PRO_W0QQitemZ300278984868QQcmdZViewItemQQptZPDA_Ac cessories?hash=item300278984868&_trksid=p3286.c0.m 14&_trkparms=72%3A1205|66%3A2|65%3A12|39%3A1|240%3 A1318|301%3A1|293%3A1|294%3A50

It works great - plugged it in, and the phone went into TV out mode, and video/audio appeared on the TV.

Re: Video out cable

Cut the blue wire on the stock adapter box and it works great. Can't wait to order a 7" video screen for my car and hook this up for sprint navigation.

I used my Y cable that came with my mogul (I know have the touch pro) and made the project. It only took me 30 minutes. And no, I did not need special tools. All I used was a safety pin to take out the number 4 pin. It took me exactly 9 swings to the left and right to come off. Had to first push the pin up. I guess if you want to take a risk and pay 21 dollars for a product that might not work...it is up to you. But after reading another post with pictures on how to do it, I took a chance. And yes, you can find a $1 RCA jacks in any Dollar store you go to. Like a I said a safety pin to take out the pin, a sharp knife to pull the wires back, electrical tape to patch up the handy work, bright light- to see better and a steady hand...30 minutes later...you are watching a movie from your TP onto the big LCD, or surfing the net or doing a powerpoint presentation...

It was fun and a little challenging...but nothing major like requiring special tools or afraid of damaging the little usb cord and splitting RCA jacks...
