What where you expecting Garmin to do, replace it for you after you lost the card??

I have always found Garmin's CS was absolutely superb myself & I've been dealing with them for years..........

Re: Garmin XT

I use Garmin and a few other Navigation Software. The major thing that keeps me using Garmin the most is because of Google integration. With this, I always have up to date POI (well as up to date as Google can keep it).

The thing I hate the most about it is if you set Garmin Online to "Always", it will continue to try to connect when you are on a call and since it is unable to, you continue to get the message saying it can't connect.

Has anyone found a way around that (other than setting Garmin Online to "Prompted")?

I have mine set to "always" myself & I never noticed that, but I don't talk on the phone all that much (I text an awful lot more than I actually talk) & my phone calls tend to be really short & to the point so maybe I just never had occasion to get the error??

Telenav lied to me this weekend. Ended up taking the completly wrong turn. I had garmin xt on my touch and loved it. Now that I have built in GPS I'll probably go back to it again.

Thanks KcLive, this will be a good temporary fix.

Is there somethine else that will only activate the headset when garmin is sending the notification? That program works, but it seems like it would drain my battery on my phone and headset within a matter of a couple hours.

I read somewhere that Garmin XT will do this; however, my searches on here and google have been fruitless. My big thing is when I have people riding with me, I don't want the Garmin chick interupting discussions and just being annoying for who's riding...but if I'm not really paying attention to the screen, I'd like to hear a heads up.

Thanks in advance if anyone can shed anymore light on this. Until then, I'll use this BTAudio.

Re: Garmin XT

Glad that was at least a short term fix for ya. If you can find another solution for this I would love to know what it is myself.

Its about 4 - 5 seconds off. Doesn't sound like much until you realize that going 60 mph will easily get you to miss quite a few turns !

I don't have to pay to access it, like I do telenav because it's not included in the $30 SERO plan. Also, all the traffic/google search/gas price features as well as being able to work without data if need be.

Re: Garmin XT

Mine doesn't have the delay...I looked for it today and it tells me when to turn before I make it to the turn.

I'm on a manhunt for it, so I'll let ya know if I find anything. Right now if I'm not doing homework or studying, I'm looking for a definite answer. Give me a PM if you don't hear from me in a week or so. I'm pretty absent minded.
