Re: Garmin XT

I used to own Garmin, then I lost the dedicated card it came on. (legit)

It popped out of the SD slot on top of my Palm 700p. I couldn't get service from Garmin or Palm who I purchased the Garmin though.

I won't use Garmin ever again because of their response to my needs.

Just my two cents.

What where you expecting Garmin to do, replace it for you after you lost the card??

I have always found Garmin's CS was absolutely superb myself & I've been dealing with them for years..........

Re: Garmin XT

I use Garmin and a few other Navigation Software. The major thing that keeps me using Garmin the most is because of Google integration. With this, I always have up to date POI (well as up to date as Google can keep it).

The thing I hate the most about it is if you set Garmin Online to "Always", it will continue to try to connect when you are on a call and since it is unable to, you continue to get the message saying it can't connect.

Has anyone found a way around that (other than setting Garmin Online to "Prompted")?

I have mine set to "always" myself & I never noticed that, but I don't talk on the phone all that much (I text an awful lot more than I actually talk) & my phone calls tend to be really short & to the point so maybe I just never had occasion to get the error??
