Currently in my own little war with Sprint. Every time I send an email about the issue I get someone different that doesn't bother to read my file correctly, they come up with thier own version which is never correct. Then I have to email back saying as much, get someone else that understands only to again later get someone that has no clue. Very very frustrating.

My last email to them probably won't get answered as this time I quoted the recent articles about Sprint losing 1.3 million customers last quarter.

This is exactly what happens all the time, some people read and are willing to understand, the others just make up their own mind. In their view, the customer is evil and wants "their" money...it's amazing how some people can be so loyal to a company when it comes to money...even if they are not even happy with their jobs. If Sprint doesn't want to give out discounts they shouldn't offer/promise or lie about them in the first place...This business model is downright wrong!

I dunno, i find that if i'm willing to pay prices as advertised, I don't hit any snags.
Other than my current USPS discount, i haven't tried to get any spiffs or freebies.
A while back i was going to drop data since i had been paying for PAM, but i no longer needed it. They counter-offered $10 power vision, and i took that. But I never go fishing for some extra freebie. I was trying to get a free mogul for a ppc-6700 a while back, but after 3 returns, i turned to ebay, bought one used, sold the 6700, then i was on my way.

Customer service is good anywhere when all they have to do is sell you stuff at the advertised prices. Anyone can do that, hell my grandma could do that with her eyes closed. It is when they promise you something and then fail to follow up is where you see how poorly networked the system is...Things start to fall apart very very quickly around sprint, since you have to deal with the same issue 100 times over and over again with people - one more inefficient than the other.

For example, I called last night saying my internet was not working on my phone...she put me on hold for 5 mins and then said it was because I don't have a data plan! I have a SERO 500 with unlimited data access. Now, I could have spent 20 minutes explaining all this to her and trying to get her to understand her company's grandfathered plans OR I could have said thank you and hung up. Guess which one I chose?

Same here. After thier last email reply, I sent them an email back saying to send me a return kit for my Pro as well as sending my old phone back and then cancel my service as I plan to move to a quality cell phone provider.

As of yet, I have not figured out what that provider is. Verizon or AT&T are my main options. I don't like either one to be honest. I like Sprints phones and the services offered by Sprint and they usually have the better priced plans but I can not deal with thier CS reps any longer.

Was AT&T's Touch Pro gimped like Verizons?
