Disable turn off with external power (since it only crashes while charging).

Go to Start - Settings - System - Power - Advanced and Uncheck "Turn off device if not used for... under "On external power".

Worth a shot.. I just did it and will post if I have any problems.
DUH!

I just realized... this was the same thing you had to do with the Apache to keep it from locking up!

Id be willing to bet money this along with the today timeout thing fixes the issue....

The old setting was to just have the backlight turn off and to keep the power on.

Awesome, this is my first WinMo device so I wouldn't know, but that is awesome if that was needed to keep it from happening with the Apache

Re: TP Locking Up Overnight

i just had mine lock up this morning when i woke up! the screen is black but the white leds stay lit. its the first time that happened to me ever since i got the phone. i doubt those settings are gonna help tho, because my phone always had those settings on and it never froze, until today.

Re: TP Locking Up Overnight

You had both the Today timeout unchecked and the turn device off after.... on external power unchecked too?

Re: TP Locking Up Overnight

So for this uncheck external power button to work, do I need to let the phone sit there with the backlight partially on all night? Or can i just hit the power button and turn off the screen manually?

Re: TP Locking Up Overnight

I BELIEVE (please correct me if I am wrong) display has nothing to do with the device itself - that has it's own option.

Sooo I thinnnk we can hit the power button to turn off the display and the device will still be active.. yes?

Re: TP Locking Up Overnight

Well what I meant was that all the option we ticked out was to turn the backlight off. Will turning it off manually before i go to sleep have the same result?
