Re: TP Locking Up Overnight

That is not actually a number it's calling, but the Sprint service I believe. I've seen it before, but only when I do a soft reset.

Grats on the BB curve, I like WinMo much better than BB OS

#777 is a data call. This is the phone establishing a data call. Maybe this is the problem?

But...why? I always close any open programs before going to standby. I don't want my phone discharging overnight because the phone makes unknown data connections.

Re: TP Locking Up Overnight

Is a data call when the phone accesses the data network for for something like the weather updater or is the data call something like making a call via the hyperterminal on a computer?

If that's the case, is there a way to turn on airplane mode but leave the phone radio on? I mean, there is no reason why my phone needs to make data connections overnight. However, I do need to be able to receive calls.

As far as I can tell, I can turn data connection off but the phone turns it right back on whenever it wants to make one of these data connections. And airplane mode turns off everything, disallowing phone calls as well.

Tell me if I'm wrong

There used to be an application/tweak/reg edit for the Titan that made an option to disable all data connections (keep it from using a data connection). However I dont know if there is one for the Touch Pro.
