Anyone have the problem w/o any regedits?
I can confirm this lock up issue is occurring on Touch Pros with no reg edits. Aswell as no previous back-ups. My touch Pro actually just froze build date 10/15/0

Re: TP Locking Up Overnight

I unchecked today timeout and turn off device if not used for(under external power) last nite and this morning was the first time in over a week I woke up to an unfroze phone. I will report back if it continues to work. If you have not tried it you should about the easiest thing you can try and I am hoping it fixed my problem.

Folks with lockups, do you have "aftermarket" apps installed in Main Memory or storage card?

Re: Lockup while charging

Have you been able to resolve this? It has happened to me last night. Same exact issue.

Re: Lockup while charging

It's an issue others (like myself) have experienced.

I would try unchecking the today timeout under system settings and also uncheck the "turn device off after" while on external power.

I did those things (and a hard reset) and mine phone has been fine since then... but I have a feeling it's a bigger issue than unchecking two boxes. Try that though, and see if you have any troubles. So far I have been fine...

JDS, no disrespect, but there's tons of posts already on here about that. Consider browsing for awhile or searching instead of a new post to rehash the same thing that the other posts have.

Woke up this morning and experienced the same thing everyone else has. I've had my phone for about 2 weeks now and it just happened for the first time last night, blank screen, light on the D-Pad completely lit, no response, had to pull out the battery and restart.

This is what I did yesterday, maybe something I did caused it?

1) Installed a new 8gb microSD card and moved all my pictures/ringtones to my memory card. Previously just had the 1gb card with some music

2) Changed icons for landscape mode by replacing the _manilla files

3) ran the nocurtain.cab file to get rid of the top curtain

I have previously done registry tweaks to enhance the performance of TF3D and the sensitivity of the screen and didn't have this problem.

I've done what others have suggested and turned off the today timeout and turn off screen when connected to external power.

Hopefully, we can get an update for those who have done this and see if that has solved the problem. I will see if I have this problem tomorrow when I wake up now that I have made the changes.

Re: Touch Pro Shutting OFF

My Touch Pro becomes unresponsive overnight sometimes. I use my phone as an alarm and it made me 30 minutes late today because the phone froze and the only way to get it to work was to do a soft reset on it. This doesnt happen all the time but today was the third time it has happened. This also only happens when the phone is on the charger.
