Sprint sent me another phone, now what?

So, I guess Sprint screwed up and sent me another HTC Touch Pro. I got the phone from Sprint's SERO on Nov 1st midnight (they updated the site just before Nov 2nd as promised). The next day I got a call from my credit card company saying there're some weird charges, and they said Sprint charged me twice BUT has reverted on of the charges. When I got my phone a few days later, I went to check on my ordering status, and it still said it's in BACKORDER. Also, when I got the 1st phone, I couldn't activate it, and there isn't a temp number on it, I's out of phone service for a few days.

So, is it possible to sell the 2nd phone on eBay w/o Sprint knowing about it and charge me for it? This is the first time I use a CDMA serivce, I know for GSM all I need is to unlock the phone and ditch the sim card. But the HTC touch Pro doesn't even come with a sim. Help please?

Besides being slightly un-ethical, selling that second phone might not help if Sprint comes asking for it back... I would call Tech Support, explain your situation, and ask for them to review your account.. Your 1st Touch Pro should be able to call Sprint though... Press *2, and it will connect you to sprint.. They usually want the ESN number's on each phone too..

The beauty of irony is stuff like this will usually come back to haunt you. For example, you sell the phone on ebay, some bloke buys it, activates it and one of two things could then go wrong for you.

1. The buyer ends up with a bunch of misc charges on their bill (e.g, activiation, etc.) and comes back to you looking for the money, etc.

2. The buyer activates the phone and guess who now has 2 lines of service on his bill...you.

There are just way too many variables in life. It's best to return it and rid yourself of any possibility of fraud, problems, headaches, etc.

i would just hold on to it tul'/ if thay ask for it back but if not keep it and use it as a spare phone same thing happened to me and sprint never ask for it back and i just use it as a spare phone!
