Re: Chrome Bezel

The problem i have is with the OEM case, the velcro does not seem to stay closed. I use my phone alot for business and always taking in and out of case, it has come out of the case atleast 2 times and dropped to the pavement from my hip. i guess i need to start looking for a new case. Here is a picture of the cracked bezel..

Same thing happened to me. This is the first HTC device I bought where I found it absolutely necessary to buy a replacement case.

Re: Chrome Bezel

Maybe it's a force dissipating bezel, meant to crack on impact to save the screen

Re: Chrome Bezel

Well actually looking where my bezel cracked, it is made of plastic. This is actually a bad design on HTC part. Think about how much stress this part of the phone takes, looking again at my phone the bottom chrome is plastic also. Now i see why it would crack so easy on a drop.

Re: Chrome Bezel

A friend of mine works for sprint and they said that the chrome bezel is a weak point in the phone and if dropped from 5 feet that it will break. It is considered an known issue and they should have to swap it out for you.

Re: Chrome chip

My chrome is chipping on the corners of my Touch Pro. I was just told from a local Sprint Store w/repair department that its a known issue with the HTC Touch Pro that the chrome easily chips off from dropping it from 3'-5'. He said that there will be a newer revision of the Touch Pro in January that will have a new finish in the chrome that wont make it so easy to scratch off and that they would replace my phone.

Just wondering if this info was true because several other stores offered to replace my phone now but could not guarantee the new phone I'd get would do the same thing. So I wanted to know if I should wait till January or just replace my Touch Pro now
