If I were you I'd just use Orb. You can essentially setup a server that hosts all your media files. I believe you can even setup directories to browse through all the file types and download to your phone. I haven't used it in a couple years though.

That is entirely another subject but you can use Orb to connect when you aren't at home

Hmm I know there are some programs out there for the Mac to use SMB (Server Message Block) protocol which would allow you to access the path. I believe one of them is called Simba. I haven't used Mac since 10.1 so they may have already added this feature.

Ahaha! Just make sure you have your privacy set properly so random Orb users can't see your content.

Also if you have a webcam, you can set it to monitor your room, but receive a live video stream via Orb anywhere you have internet access.

Absolutely. Using Kinoma (including the free version) to access Orb is much faster, easier and far smoother then just going to Orb's website via Opera. I highly recommend Kinoma if you're going to use Orb. Playing media files this way is super fast and it's like having my ENTIRE music, picture, video and document collection with me despite having "only" an 8G SD card.

Re: File Sharing Over WiFi Network

I have an ATI TV tuner card (550 elite er whatever) and it says it's not supported on their list. I'm going to try and set it up tonight, but if this card doesn't work then that stinks because it was the best thing you could buy not a long time ago

I'll try Kinoma, thanks for the tip.

Try emailing ORB support. They may be able to point you to a generic driver that will run your card and be supported by the service.
