Re: Insurce for Touch Pro
It really depends on what happens to the phone. I am with Sprint so I pay the $7 for TEP. If a button stops working or the phone wont charge you go to a Sprint repair facility. They look at the problem and order you a replacement phone no charge. Yes normally this will be a refurbished but all and all I've had ok luck with them. Now if you drop your phone in the toilet or run over it with a car you have to deal with the insurance carrier and pay your detuctible. I just can't imagine carrying a phone that would cost me $600 to replace if I didn't fork over the $7 a month. four months after I got my Mogul I hit a deer while riding a motorcycle. The displace cracked making the phone almost useless. $50 and two days later new phone, it was nice not having to worry about forking over $500 for a new phone four months after buying it for $200. To each his own though.

Re: Insurce for Touch Pro
Best buy rep told me they offer the same insurance for phones if you purchase at the store but it is 6.99 a month and you don't have to pay the $50 deductible for your replacement does anybody have this?

Re: Insurce for Touch Pro
fyi it's only 50 to replace if it gets wet or you lose it or something - the $7 insurance plan actually has 2 plans, and the 2nd one covers normal wear and tear and extended warranty protection etc with no deductible... i think you can still get them seperately for $4 each or it's 7 for the whole thing

Re: Insurce for Touch Pro
You can add insurance to a device up to 30 days after purchase, not after that.
I will be adding it to mine in a few weeks. Erhm, thats what Sprint told me! |
