I used Diamond Tweak to choose WM "Phone pad style", is this the dialer? I don't see any change in mine when I choose the WM version.. just making sure I'm doing this right. I hate the ring delay too....

Did you do the soft reset after? I forgot to do this and mine didn't work either until I did.

I did this but then my dialer was blank.

Re: Ring delay with Incoming Call

I called and talked to Customer Care about this issue and they said it has either something to do with the phone itself or the cell towers...I told them that people will call me and when I hear the 1st ring on my phone it will go to voicemail for the person calling..They told me if it happens then just soft reset the phone so it can search for another cell tower and hey they started my nights & weekends @7pm for free LoL ..

Re: Ring delay with Incoming Call

I downloaded the diamond tweak (thanks for the tip!). It is a great tool for other things too. I changed the instant ring, no delay, and WM dialer with a soft reset - I found I still am getting 10-13 second delays. the lights flicker on but the ringer does go off for another 2-3 seconds. I thank everyone for there input. I will continue to hack this one out. (changing the ring tone to a 30 second ring is good. Also, the ringer is really loud! I can't seem to control the volume on it after I loaded the Diamond tweak.

Re: Ring delay with Incoming Call

I just changed to the default dialer skin (which I hate) but it did speed up the ring quite a bit.

Does anyone know if it is just that particular skin that messes it up, or do all the custom skins do that???

Thanks AF, yes, I reset and now it works. And the delay is much shorter....... happy happy! =D>

I don't know what the complaint is about the WM dialer, I think it's sharper looking than the TF3d one - maybe it's because I'm new to WM anyway - anything is better than Palm! I can actually "get around" the WM dialer easier than the other. Oh well, to each his own.

Re: Ring delay with Incoming Call

Here's how to go back to the stock dialer via a simple registry edit (I like doing things this way instead of installing another program): http://forum.ppcgeeks.com/showpost.p...86&postcount=1
Anyway like other people have mentioned above- my phone FINALLY rings the same time as it "lights up"- no more delay. The downside is that the incoming call screen is not as nice. Its tough to make this compromise but I actually need to pick up the phone when it rings instead of calling people back all the time. I sure hope HTC figures out how to eliminate the delay with their dialer skin.
