Re: Ring delay with Incoming Call

OK... just did a hard reset. Kept slot cycle at 0. Stock ringtone.

TF3D on, no Diamond Tweak: TP starts ringing sometimes during but usually after second ring

TF3D on, Diamond Tweak set to no ring delay, soft reset: No change

TF3D off: TP starts ringing before second ring

Change to WAV ringtone: No change

TF3D on: TP reverts to ringing during or after second ring

Summary: Diamond Tweak & WAV ringtone make no difference. Turning TF3D off gains an extra ring.

That's the best you can do. There's always a "fake" first ring everyone hears when calling a sprint customer. The phone itself rings on or during the second ring.

Re: Ring delay with Incoming Call

I know... was just trying to give my experience as to what worked for me to get from the extended delay back to the typical delay. I've seen a couple claims that Diamond Tweak + WAV is a fix... and maybe it worked for some people for some reason... but it does nothing whatsoever on my phone. And I haven't seen anyone else mention TF3D as a source of ring delay, so thought I'd put it out there for people to try. I've switched to iLauncher + Pocket Breeze + Pocket Weather, and don't miss TF3D one bit.

Re: Ring delay with Incoming Call

It is terrible that you can see the light ring and phone icon ringing but the phone wont actually ring until at least 2 or 3 rings, totally unacceptable. Hopefully someone discovers a real remedy.

Update: Found an old post with some great info and it seems to have worked for me doen to 1.5 rings till the ringtone comes on vs 2-3 check it out: The regedit seems to stick for me through soft reset

HKEY_CURRENT_USER\ControlPanel\Sounds\RingTone0
Change 'Script' from 'av0pw3r' to 'av0pr' and you'll get 0 sec delay.
OR change it to
av0pw1r = wait for 1 sec
av0pw2r = wait for 2 sec
and so on...

++

Edit :

Here are the ringing codes

a - stands for display
r - repeat/replay the script again
c - sets the volume C50, c150, c100
f - means flash .. f1 flash for 1 second and f0 stands for flash continuously
p -means play ringtone
v- vibrate then incorporate with number to state how many seconds it will vibrate example. v3 vibrate for 3seconds or v0 for continous
w - stands for wait or pause then specify how many seconds like w3(wait for 3 seconds)

here are some examples
Flash - af1w60f0
Ring - apw3r
Ring Once - ap
Increasing Ring - c50apw3c150r
Vibrate Then Ring - v3w3apw3r
Vibrate - av3w3r
Short Vibrate - av1w3r
Vibrate Long Then Ring - v3w3v3w3apw3r
Vibrate And Ring - av0pw3r
Increasing Ring And Vibrate - c50apv3w3c150r
Fast Vibrate And Flash - af1v1w1f0r
Vibrate and Ring Continously without pausing - av0pr

info found here

Re: Ring delay with Incoming Call

These tweaks seem to be just for the delay between the actual playing of the ring tone. I changed to a 0 delay , and the default ring tone would just loop , like this "ringringring" rather then "ring..ring..ring.." I hope I explained this right.

Re: Ring delay with Incoming Call

The delay is caused by the skin dialer. If you switch to the standard WM dialer your problem will disappear.

Re: Ring delay with Incoming Call

yes... skin dialer is the problem. Changing slot cycle to 1 should help a lot as well.
