Re: Is there such a thing as a perfect Touch Pro?
This demonstrates the screen issue fairly well...
You can see how the Original Touch correlates to my thumb, (read: it's accurate.) The Touch Pro seems to have an issue, where if you don't push "hard enough," then the touch screen makes contact in an area further away form the edge of the screen--while the Original Tuch did not... Dang, just picking up the original Touch... I noticed just how responsive the screen is around the edges... night-and-day difference...
ugh I really want one of these "good" ones... So you guys who have "perfect" Touch Pros, still have the crappy inconsitant screen sensitivity? Is that just a critical design flaw that will affect ALL Touch Pros? That's highly disappointing if that's the case... The phone should be equally sensitive in one spot, as it is in another... |

Re: Is there such a thing as a perfect Touch Pro?
Two things scrapmaker, did you align your screen? and why does it bother you so much?
Okay the first im sure youve done, but the second... im not trying to be a douche, but you bought a phone with a keyboard, why not use it? Any ways, i made a topic about the screens insensitivity toward the edges, its true, htc messed up a bit here, but i toke someone elses advice and its working. The screens plastic needs to be "broken in", im not saying its going to make it so you wont have a problem, but it will continue to get less noticeable. The only valid complaint in this thread is battery life, and everyone knows about that, thats why a lot of us are waiting on the best extended battery fix. This phone isnt perfect, but i'd be surprised if anyone finds better without lowering their standards a bit |

It still had the plastic protection on it, so I didn't notice till I got home and took off the plastic... but believe me I cringed when I saw the scanner drop on it.

How is the only valid compaint here the battery life? The speakers are garbage on a lot of these phones, the screen clearly has issues, and the phone gets hot as heck, on top of the battery... I could deal with the screen (hopefully getting better with use,) but the speakers and heat are things that will never get better with time... and yeah, I've aligned my screens many many times... the first thing I noticed was that it took nearly twice the pressure that my Touch took with the stylus to even get the + to register my touch... |

Re: Is there such a thing as a perfect Touch Pro?
Do you mean that your phone doesn't heat up on long phone calls? Mine gets so hot, (all three of them have,) during a long call that it starts to make my ear VERY uncomfortable. I find myself switching ears, because the other one is getting too hot...
