watch the animation effect from tab to tab. (swishing with finger to get to next tab) That animation was removed from recent touchflo versions, replaced by HTC with simple fade in/fade out effects. Personally I LOVE the old effects so I put them back.
PROBLEM, PROBLEM!

When I added this cab to my phone it changed my TF3D to the Black HTC theme. Which is fine. But it removed the registry hacks I used to change tehe softkeys and it removed teh call history tab in TF3D. AND I CANT ADD IT BACK. ive tried reinstalling the cab I got from XDA for the call history and I've tried dropping the call history manila files into the windows directory and that didnt work either.

any help would be great.

Did you use the option in TF3D config RESTORE TO DEFAULT? That should delete all these crazy manila files and restore your manila to default that comes with your ROM.

Re: Map long talk key press to rotate screen

Discovered a neat reg edit:

Here's a reg hack to manually rotate your screen, only when desired.
In Settings/Buttons/ one used to be able to assign a button to <Rotate Screen>. This feature is hidden on the Touch Pro.
To get it back:
Using a Registry editor, go to:
HKeyLocalMachine/System/GDI/Rotation
Change the "HideOrientationUI" from 1 to 0
Now you can remap the talk key to do this on long press.

Here ya go. Extract and you'll find the cab. There *may* be a newer version. I'm running this one.

Re: Touch Pro Essentials

I've been reading these forums for days and there seems like there is alot of good information.

So far I have:

added the OEM screen protector.
added 2 GB MicroSD
installed CD software that came with TouchPro
Synchronization feature apparently is not configured correctly and is not working
added PM Backup and created backup
added tweaks only version of GoodThings2Life's Touch Pro cleanup

I'm unsure about next steps and surprised that there is no information on this website about customizing an HTC Touch Pro. In all seriousness, I am at a loss on what I am supposed to do next. Are most people using the synchronization feature? Any recommendation on the best way to set that up?

As an alternative to the synchronization, I've set up PIM Backup to create auto backups on my storage device.

Is there anywhere that provides a recommended order in implementing the customizations and fixes? For example, what is the first program that I need to download and install onto the Touch Pro? Is it the registry editor or the advanced config. or something else? Eventually I'd like to be able to add the following features: flipclock, clear clock, clear/transparent touch3d symbols, add my own photo as background to touch3d homepage and sliding options, customized symbols on taskbar, customized symbols on sliding bar, sliding bar lock, and implement the other registry tweaks defined here in the essentials. Does the order of doing these changes matter? Any help is appreciated.

Re: Touch Pro Essentials

Seriously, here is a very important step.. it gets hard to keep track of what you did and where you got it. Create a folder on your PC and put a txt or xl file of date, item, source and discription. Then keep a copy of each install file within that same folder. That way you can go back and redo or remove those items that don't work or that you decide you don't want and keep a clean "diary" of what has been done.

Also before you go any further be sure you have a full backup (to save having to hard reset and start from scratch when you have medium glitches...) and therefore a good backup program (I use SPB Backup though sktools and possibly rescoe explorer will also do backups.. I'm just used to the simplicity of sbp backup). When you have the phone to your liking make a complete backup again.. cause you're gonna end up tweaking it .. its hard to stop believe me... and you might regret it now and again so its easy to go back.... I name my backups with what state the phone is in so I know. Once you've got those tools set up.... dive in!

OH and save a copy of your backup files in that folder on your PC. You never know when you might need that extra copy...
