Re: Screen Protector = To use Or Not To use?
Just put on the stock screen protector. This is the first time I have ever used one and it worked perfectly. I also have just a very small bubble off in the far left hand corner away from the actual screen, but you can't even tell unless you look for it.
When installing it I started at the top where the ear piece is and I used that hole to line it up and then carefully slide my finger down the center of the protector as I also removed the protectors "protector". Last edited by MarcusInMD; 10-31-2008 at 01:49 PM. |

Re: Screen Protector = To use Or Not To use?
I messed up the protector that came in the box - it looked like a great one. I have another protector on my Diamond now. During the couple of weeks without a protector, I was very careful. However, I noticed some very small scratches on the otherwise pristine screen.
I slapped a protector on the device a week or so ago, and it is a great feeling to know the screen is protected from further damage. When the screen is dirty, I just rub it on my shirt or pants and it looks great again. I say use a screen protector for sure. |

Re: Screen Protector = To use Or Not To use?
I'm going bareback with mine.
And I don't have a screen protector on my Touch Pro. Well, it's mainly because I screwed up the installation of it, I'd keep one on if I had gotten it installed perfectly, HTC's stock screen protectors are the closest thing to not having one at all. If you are worried about reduced pressure sensitivity, simply increase the sensitivity in the registry. (HKLM -> Software -> OEM -> TFLOsettings ->fingerpressure, I think.) -Ed |

Re: Screen Protector = To use Or Not To use?
well the screen protector is a good thing for me since I don't use a case and I keep my phone in my pocket and I wear jeans most of the time so it's gonna be rough sliding it in and out of my pocket...

Going Commando!! At least for a little while. Then I'll put the protector on for a little while, and see what I like best. Gotta take a chance to see if it's worth it.

Re: Screen Protector = To use Or Not To use?
Just don't forget to keep your keys out of the same pocket as you phone... Use my old Touch without and it did get some nice scratches on it even while being very careful....

Re: Screen Protector = To use Or Not To use?
I have always used screen protectors on all my screen. But if the screen is infact glass then I don't see the need to have one. Is it really made of glass?
Also I've noticed that with the screen protector on, the screen is more hazy under direct sunlight in certain angles. Much clearer without it. |

Re: Screen Protector = To use Or Not To use?
This thread has actually talked me into wanting to try the screen protector that came with my Touch Pro. I never used one with my 6700, 6800, or Touch... but I might give it a try with this one. (I guess since I have the insurance, I've never really worried about it.)

Re: Screen Protector = To use Or Not To use?
The way I've decided to look at it, I'm sitting here looking at my mogul, which went through hell without a screen protector, and the screen is still fine. There are a bunch of tiny little scratches, but they are barely noticeable with the screen off and if you turn it on you don't even know they are there. I have a super tiny scratch on my touch pro towards the center, and again, I can only see if it I am specifically looking for it with the screen off.
Though I do have a set of 3 protectors coming from eBay. I figure if they fit and I can get one on w/o getting dust or air bubbles, I'll leave it on.
