Hmm I had it sent to my condo - which has it's own physical address (not a unit or anything).

They wouldn't deliver without a signature!

I didn't have to sign for my Diamond when it came.

it probably depends on the type of delivery they used, it seems like alot of people got priority overnight which requires a signature to prove they got it there within the given time window. while just normal shipping can still happen to be next day, but since its window is much larger they can just drop it there and call it a day.

Keep in mind where Condos, apartments and other locations, it is to the descresion of the driver to leave a package or require a signiture. If it states on the tracking info that a signiture is required, they will not leave it unless there is a physical signiture and package exchange. However, if no "Signiture Required" is in the tracking info, then it is up to the driver if he does not feel confortable leaving the package. In this case they will leave a door knocker that you will have to sign and then they will leave it. At that point you are saying that you agree to allow the driver to leave at your door.

I have worked for UPS and FedEx for several years. And they were very clear about this and pushed it down your throat every chance they got.

Interesting. I imagine sig was required when I first signed up so some yahoo didn't nap my phone or something.

That weird, I just checked my tracking info and it says the same thing. Out for Delivery, but scheduled delivery for 11/03. If I don't see it deliverd by the time my UPS guy usually gets there, I will be calling to track it down. The actul mini-hib in my area is not but 20 miles or so from my house.

Where does it say its estimated delivery date? I can't find that anywhere with the tracking number....

damn well better be out for delivery today!

Interesting. Mine is being shipped by FedEx and it shows Estimated delivery by 4:30 today, but the package status is just "Oct 30, 2008 7:24 PM

Package data transmitted to FedEx"
