Keep in mind where Condos, apartments and other locations, it is to the descresion of the driver to leave a package or require a signiture. If it states on the tracking info that a signiture is required, they will not leave it unless there is a physical signiture and package exchange. However, if no "Signiture Required" is in the tracking info, then it is up to the driver if he does not feel confortable leaving the package. In this case they will leave a door knocker that you will have to sign and then they will leave it. At that point you are saying that you agree to allow the driver to leave at your door.

I have worked for UPS and FedEx for several years. And they were very clear about this and pushed it down your throat every chance they got.
