Re: Verizon HTC TOUCH PRO Information
Look at the bright side though. Pay verizon $30 and you have access to web any time on the phone and you can tether it to home computer and not pay comcast $50. As for me, I don't care if its required, I'm buying it anyway.

Re: Verizon HTC TOUCH PRO Information
I know that VZW has a couple of different data plans, are you sure that we would have to have the 30.00 plan?
Kinda BS if you ask me! |

Re: Verizon HTC TOUCH PRO Information
I went to a Sprint store yesterday and messed around with the TP a little bit. It seemed to be a little laggy or slow when using the TouchFlo and going back to the home screen. Might have just been the phone they had but if verizon takes away from this even more its going to only get worse.
It looks like ebay is the cheapest route to go. I checked Best Buy's employee price and its still over what they are going for on ebay. |

Re: Verizon HTC TOUCH PRO Information
Yes, the $30 will be required at minimum as of 11/15 for any new smartphone. They have stated that publically now. And no, that includes no tethering rights. Not to say you can't do it, just don't get caught...

OMG! I need to know: 1. Does that have the same specs 2. Does that have the diamond back 3. Is that a real video?!?!?! 4. Would it be possible to swap a Sprint pro and a VZW pro to the VZW network and Sprint network respectively?

Re: Verizon HTC TOUCH PRO Information
When I activated my used Apache on Verizon about a year ago, the customer service person told me that I needed the $45 data plan for the phone to work. After a little bit of whining and explaining I have access to Wi-Fi almost 24 hours a day, she put me on the pay as you go plan, and then I disabled the Verizon connection in the phone. As far as I understand the $0 pay as you go is still considered a "data plan", however it wouldn't surprise me one bit if you had to get the $30 plan in order to get the discounted phone.
Edit: Took to long to type my post, didn't see that the $30 plan is now the minimum you have to have. |
