The device will have a different "code" associated with it. SPB looks at rom version but it will see your device is not the same and will detect it as a different rom.

TF3D build is miles ahead of the Diamond as is Opera. Slide-out keyboard is solid as my Nokia N810.

As for screen sensitivity, I've got the threshold set to 200 in the reg, but I believe that is beyond the maximum you can have. I recall reading the max was like 42 or 52 or something like that. Someone just pulled 200 out of their ***, set it to that thinking it was like the screen on their Mogul/Touch, and called it macaroni. I'm going back to the default, seems more responsive.

Just got my replacement TP, the build date is 11/24/08. Only difference I know right now, is that my 'END' button side is slightly lower than the screen.

just got a replacement for one that i /had knocked out of my hand and it fell and busted the case. the date on this one is 11/26/2008.

Just traded mine in on a 11-21 build date, d-pad is lower than 11-2 build, but send button corner is already lifted out of the box. internet with tethering is 2x faster for some reason, battery door doesn't click *yet* keyboard seems more solid. no news on battery performance or heat issue, I haven't abused it that hard yet, touch screen seems more responsive.

I got my replacement last week.
Date is 11/18/08 and the heat issue is still there...
Also, it took about 3 days for the battery door to start clikcing...

Got mine a few days ago....build date 11/26/08....look is flawless as well as the d pad below the screen is even....but still having the HOT *** battery issues...but everything else seems very responsive....still gonna flash soon tho! If you crack your case take it to service repair....talking to the guys who bought in the begining you can get a replacement no questions asked.
