Re: What is your build date? Do you have a defect?

build date....10/18

screen at corners, especially upper right seems to be less sensitive.

Battery isn't too bad
Everything else seems good.

no problems at all...

however, within 5 Minutes of taking it out of box I installed JDs latest ROM.

I do have to kill the minimized apps otherwise theyll run down the battery and slow the device of course.

also just found out that you can zoom in and out in Opera just by rotating your finger around the dpad...pretty slick.

Yes, it IS an issue. The phone should not heat up that much. It may not be the fault of the battery itself, but the phone overall should not be doing that.

As others have pointed out, the bottom pad is slightly raised to make room for a screen protector to sit flush with it. My first phone had the raised home button that was sticking much higher then the other side...

Anyway I have a 10/12 phone. Battery has gotten better over time with use and charging. I am not satisfied with the volume of my phone, but I am learning to deal with it. I have listened to three other phones that had more projection and were louder so I know they are out there. I have no real problems with this phone other then unexpected battery life and not being happy with the volume, but they are probably more like design flaws then defect with my phone...

Re: Touch Pro Build Date

10/13/08 - the only issue i have is that sometimes when i hit the standby button the hard buttons will stay lit and it drains the hell out of the battery, i dont know if this is a S2U2 issue, i just noticed it doing this today, when my battery was at 40% after 2 hours of being off the charger, full service no roam, i pulled my phone out my pocket and the lights were on.... very random cant recreate it but it happens...

10/18/08 phone stops charging after battery getting hot. resumes back to normal only after being left alone/cooled.

This happened on my 10/13 10/12 and 10/14 ones from BB. I never ran S2U2.

Sometimes I would pull the phone out of my pocket and it would be scorching hot. The only solution was to turn it on and off a few times, or soft-reset.

Re: What is your build date? Do you have a defect?

10/19/08

For all the heavy internet, texting, and phone usage I do, the battery lasts me up to a day without charging and that is really impressive. Like one person said on here, are some of you first time winmo users or coming from a previous device? As for the sensitivity around the edges, I don't have that problem. My phone is sensitive all around which is good cuz my Diamond wasn't that way. It had sensitivity issues on the sides. I have a raised "home" button on the D-pad as well and my device gets warm after long convos but not hot like my Diamond had. Overall, I love my touch pro and glad I traded my Diamond in for it.
