For real...how many topics are posted here, on XDA, on hofo, that ar topics that have already been discussed. Nimbuzz works ok for me but seems a little unstable, contacts are listed as online but are not actually and vice versa.
Skype is a big deal for me so I may be considering abandoning nimbuzz on my touch and going to a Pro.

Speaking as somebody who uses Skype a lot for voice calls, Skype did not fix it on the mogul for 6.1. Works fine for text, not for voice. Even the older cabs didn't work except for some early 6.1 roms pre-sprint release. There were definitely ways to get it to work with 6.0, but not 6.1. As to the TP and Diamond, yeah, the newest version of Skype works fine on them. And even though it's not new news, I share the poster's happiness because it was a serious pain in the *** for me in the past. Of course now there is enough ram to run Fring without hassles too, and that may work better for you ear-piece people. I find that on the lowest volume it's pretty acceptable.

Thanks for posting. I don't use Skype on a regular basis (only on the occasional trip overseas) so I never bothered with it after the initial issues on the Mogul. Glad to hear it's working as intended again. I'll have to check out Nimbuzz too.

It doesnt go through the earpiece...its just that on the diamond and the pro...the phones speaker is on the top of the phone, close to where the earpiece is. So, if you turn it down enough and hold your phone as you normally would, it almost sounds like it is coming from the earpiece. Its not a bad method to use actually...its just still a pain in the arse to have to do it. Either way...I am happy because I have always had a bad time with Sykpe and I can at least now effectivley and PRACTICALLY use it to communicate with friends and family.

Actually - on my mogul and my Pro, audio is through the earpiece. All I did was the stock setup. No additional setting changes or tweaks...

Glad to report that Skypee worked very well today. I give it an 8 today,all was clear between two continents at least voice wise. I love free and clear overseas calls

Hi All,
I installed the latest Skype version mentioned in this thread on my Touch Pro today. I made a skype call from my TP to my friend's pc in Peru. He claims he heard me very well. I, on the contrary, could not really hear him that well. His voice sounded like he was whispering. Then I used my Mogul's headset on my new TP and the whispering was still there. I asked him to raise his voice (yelling) and only then I was able to hear him a bit better. I love this Skype talking thru my TP. However, I don't think my friends overseas will want to yell on their pc's everytime I called them thru Skype.
My question to all of you is --- what can I do to enhance/improve the skype audio in my TP? Do i need to make any tweaks? The volume level in my phone is at max level.
