Re: voice command not announcing incoming calls

Let it be known that I tried every major version all the way back to 1.6.17913. No dice.

I used eRice with no MSVC, and installed the major retail and embedded versions. I also tried the newest 1.6.19972 from JD's ROM... Still nothing.

i suspect that it might have to do with the version that is built into the rom which i haven't found a way to uninstall completely. if anyone knows hows to get rid of sprint's voice command included with the tp, let me know...

Re: voice command not announcing incoming calls

just found some info:
The Bluetooth functionality does not currently work properly on the Samsung Blackjack Windows Mobile 5.0 HTC Touch Pros prior to AKU3. Incoming caller ID announcements will be spoken via the phone speaker on HTC Touch Pros with a Windows Mobile build prior to 15097.3.0.0.

Re: voice command not announcing incoming calls

Any update on the MSVC not announcing incoming calls issue? Also....how the heck do individuals become senior members? Or even Moderators?

Re: voice command not announcing incoming calls

Tonight as I was playing some music using my Jabra BT3030 headphones, voice cmd. actually announced the sender and subject line of a new email I received with perfect clarity. Not very useful perhaps, but kind of creepy-cool.

Re: voice command not announcing incoming calls

I followed up with my friendly HTC Rep. and they said as usual a fix is in the mix, however they are being swarned with calls regarding this issue which is pushing this fix one step closer to putting smiles on our face!
