What's your manufacture date? Please hit ##786# from your phone and post it here if you don't mind.

Re: Petition?: We need to get HTC to fix this heat/charging issue!!

I got this issue twice now, once while streaming audio with bluetooth and once while streaming video via Orb with wired headset. The phone was plugged in, then suddenly it said battery low. One time it got so low it shut down...
Will try to cool it next time and see if it makes a diff.

Manuf. date 10/20/08.

When you say you talk "ALOT," do you mean that you talk for more the 1+ hour at a time? The problem we are having, mostly, is that extended, non-stop use, causes the phone to stop charging.

You clearly do not use the phone much, if your USB cable is enough to charge your phone all day. USB only outputs 500mA, if you're lucky. It's already been shown to use MORE than 1A a lot of the time.

I think the problem with people's experiences/takes on the issues, especially in the polls here, is that there is no consistancy between data and usage. I tried to make an "advanced" poll, so people could to a multiple-choice poll, and we could get a good idea of just how many people are really experiencing these problems. All the other polls are far too basic, and people's answers are not necessarily true to their comments.

For example, on the poll I had going, someone posted that their screen had lowered sensitivity around the edges of their screen, yet they voted that their device was flawless. I think our fight is hopeless, because there are far too many fanboys who will defend the phone, regardless of any condition. People will actively cool their phones, open the keyboard, etc, instead of making HTC or Sprint do something about this.

I am truly convinced that every since Touch Pro ever made (CDMA,) suffers from this same problem. People find tricks/workarounds to solve the issues, or are just lucky, and don't trigger the problem. I don't see how this could be a device-to-device defect. I would bet it's a design defect, or a software design problem.

Re: Touch Pro Battery life!!! Post your reviews!!

Just got my TP and am letting it charge overnight before I even turn it on. Not easy to have it and not be playing around with it!

Has anyone tried one of these portable power units? http://cgi.ebay.com/Sprint-Portable-...lenotsupported

I was thinking of picking one up and leaving it at my office so I could plug the TP in while I am there. Sure, I could just buy another wall charger, but this gives me a portable power solution that I can take with me and use anywhere. Sprint sells these for $50 but they can be had on ebay for $10 - $15. Anyone have any experience with these, with the TP or with any other phone?

Touch flow 3d is adding to the battery drain, IMO.

Re: Petition?: We need to get HTC to fix this heat/charging issue!!

Seems the ones really effected are the ones from bestbuy. I got mine from sprint and so far no problems at all. After dishcharging the battery completely and charging it I am happy to report getting more hours of it using it as much as my old mogul. Now if an extended battery would come out it would make it even better till theni will just buy a second battery for thos long trips

Re: Touch Pro Battery life!!! Post your reviews!!

i dont get the percentage ratings on the phone .... i have the nue power driver installed which gives u the 1% increments above your battery .. along with some other small hacks and when i have the phoen fully charged.. its shows 100%.. when i take it off cahrger.. in seconds its down to 94%... then under a minute down to 90%....somethign is just not right ... i dont have bluetooth/wifi/data on ... screen brightness down to like 40% .... i think there is something just wrong with the readings
