Sprint Touch Pro owners... what don't you like about it?

After all the fanfare and hype of the Sprint Touch Pro, I can't help but notice a slight hint of disappointment from the general ppcgeek forum dweller. What specifically DON'T you like about this phone compared to the Diamond? I read the thread near the top about the guy who has 2 Diamonds and a Pro, but I just need a little more clarification... My main concern being the lag when you open the keyboard.

I figure a cooked rom will be out before we know it and it will speed things up and make the Pro an absolute beast, but out of the box, what don't you like about it?

Re: Sprint Touch Pro owners... what don't you like about it?

I can't compare it to the Diamond as I came from the Mogul. Coming from the Mogul, I miss all the hardware buttons because I could program them with AE Button Plus and do all kinds of stuff very quickly. Now I have to get use to navigating via the screen.

Strangely enough, I miss the LEDs too as they would let me know when I had a message or whatever. I know the LED is contained in now a circular light which I am sure I will get use to. Hopefully, no2chem will find a way to make it other colors than white (if its possible).

Other than those 2 things, I really do like this phone. I think I may disable T3D though.

love the phone but need to get used to it...i really really miss the "scroll" bar on the mogul and the new 5 row keyboard takes some adjusting.

I'm upset at the keys that don't light up evenly, and I'm worried about the speaker itself. It crackles and hisses. I may have gotten a bad phone though not sure.

Like many others, I miss the hard buttons and being able to remap buttons.

Re: Sprint Touch Pro owners... what don't you like about it?

So far so good except the most important piece ... The calling! My speaker sounds muffle and metallic. The speaker phone sounds great its just when talking in regular mode. Anyone else have this problem? Do I have a bad phone? Would other owners say the sound is crystal clear?

Re: Sprint Touch Pro owners... what don't you like about it?

coming from the mogul, obviously all the hard buttons (no IE, messaging, comm manager, ok button, etc)
i hate how when you try to do anything in IE it goes straight to opera
and i hate how i can't just run a clean install.... i basically want all of this junk gone, including touchflo - the phone gets slow too often

i'm guessing/hoping a rom update will be coming in the next few weeks.

I have to say I never thought about that, but that's definitely a sweet idea. I hope it's possible!
