The accessories that we have listed for the HTC Touch Pro are not necessarily compatible with the Sprint Touch Pro. The ClearTouch screen protectors are not compatible with the Sprint Touch Pro."

They went on and cancelled my order. I will be waiting for them to make a page JUST for the Sprint Touch Pro though, hopefully sooner than later.
Yeah, I got the same thing. I asked about timeframe and was told it was about a month out, but to go to the product requests page and put in a request for it so I'll be notified when it's available, which I did.

Make a VERY weak soap solution, like 1 drop dawn to 1 8 oz glass of pure water. In this case, less is more. It's just to break the surface tension of the water.
Use a sprayer, like a windex sprayer or something like it. A real nice small one came with the Zagg invisible shield kit, and I still have it.
OK, the important part.
SPRAY YOUR FINGERS so the shield doesn't stick to them. Spray the back and front of the protector so it's just misted all over. DON'T spray the phone directly, you'll get water where you really don't want it.
This is what worked for me on 2 TP's.
I started at the bottom against the little ridge by the hard keys and centered it left to right.
I rolled about 3/4 inch up the screen and then used a squeegee (again, came from Zagg, but a credit card would do as well) to force the protector down onto the screen from the center of this area out towards the edges. This causes the protector to stick in this area and guarantees alignment for the remaining screen area.
Gradually work your way to the top squeezing the water out as you go to the sides and up.
Use a tissue to dry the edges of the drops of water that squeeze out.
In a day or so, any remaining water (minor) under the screen protector will have evaporated and you will be left with a perfect surface with no bubbles at all, and no dust.
I'm going to try this when I get home from work. I will post my results.

I used regular soft soap.

Before the cleaning, I had fingerprints, dog hair and black ink spots from a magazine I had placed the SP on while wet. So since I had nothing to lose as the SP was shot, I simply turned on the faucet, put some soft soap on my finger, and kept wiping the SP until all that came off. I should add I had to repeat this 3 or 4 times before it was truly clean.

No problems after that!

This method has worked for me flawlesly everytime. Used it on my Palm and HTC devices for years. Just dont soak it, just a spritz will do, allows you to move the protector around for perfect alignment. As stated, any water that remains will evaporete in a day, so dont be alarmed it the screen looks alittle cloudy after first applying the screen protector.

Good luck!

Re: Sprint Touch Pro Stock Screen Protector a Major PITA to install

The best part about this thread is I still have yet to find mine in all of the packaging that came with my phone. I am going to have to check around the house where I opened it and see if I can't find it.

Re: Sprint Touch Pro Stock Screen Protector a Major PITA to install

I aligned mines from the bottom up, that is, starting from right above the d-pad and working slowly upward towards the ear piece at the top of the phone. Keyword here being, "SLOW". Not trying to dismiss anyone else's experience, but mines was a rather 'painless' one. No trapped dust particles, no air bubbles, no misalignment.

But then again, I braved this process only AFTER having read this thread @ PPCGeeks. So maybe thats what made all the difference.

Re: Sprint Touch Pro Stock Screen Protector a Major PITA to install

to put mine on I use scotch tape on either side to give the protector wings. This makes it pretty easy to align it and lay it down straight. It also keeps me from get a bunch of finger prints on the sticky side of the protector.

How did you people get the screen clean totally before putting the protector on? I'm just using plain distilled water and a microfiber cloth, and it doesn't seem to be getting 100% of the fingerprints off (it looks clean, but you can still see the smudgets a little at an angle).

Re: Sprint Touch Pro Stock Screen Protector a Major PITA to install

Mine didn't go perfect at all and I have a bubble on the bottom right that just won't come out, but I don't really care too much since I'll be getting an invisible shield as soon as it's available for the phone!

Did I mention I love this phone!
