Re: Sprint Touch Pro Stock Screen Protector a Major PITA to install

After having the 2 Diamonds, I've got it down pact. LoL

The 1st one I had a corner on the top right that wouldnt go down. The 2nd one, I had the bottom right corner not go down.

On the Pro, I finally got it right. No bubbles, all sides stuck down. Yay me!!

Mine just destroyed itself as I put it in my case. Had to pull it off and wash it, but now there's a fold in it.

Not sure if you got your email already or not, but I did the same and here is what they had to say:

"Thank you for your email!

The accessories that we have listed for the HTC Touch Pro are not necessarily compatible with the Sprint Touch Pro. The ClearTouch screen protectors are not compatible with the Sprint Touch Pro."

They went on and cancelled my order. I will be waiting for them to make a page JUST for the Sprint Touch Pro though, hopefully sooner than later.

It comes on a rather large sheet that you have to remove it from. One side is "slightly" sticky, enough to adhere to the screen

2nd attempt and still had bubbles..removed it and I slipped off my desk and onto the floor..Now with 2 cats and a dog...had to trash it lol

Re: Sprint Touch Pro Stock Screen Protector a Major PITA to install

It's more of a static cling thing.

I had some problems with the stock protector. Ended up taking it off and washing it with warm water and soap to get all the dust/dog hair off. Used an old magazine to dry it off by placing the wet protector between some white glossy pages. After that, it still went on fine, and you couldn't even tell it's there.

Re: Sprint Touch Pro Stock Screen Protector a Major PITA to install

I installed the stock protector with no problems at all. I used the Zagg protectors in the past on my Mogul and followed the same advice, and it really works:
Make sure the screen is absolutely clean.
Make a VERY weak soap solution, like 1 drop dawn to 1 8 oz glass of pure water. In this case, less is more. It's just to break the surface tension of the water.
Use a sprayer, like a windex sprayer or something like it. A real nice small one came with the Zagg invisible shield kit, and I still have it.
OK, the important part.
SPRAY YOUR FINGERS so the shield doesn't stick to them. Spray the back and front of the protector so it's just misted all over. DON'T spray the phone directly, you'll get water where you really don't want it.
This is what worked for me on 2 TP's.
I started at the bottom against the little ridge by the hard keys and centered it left to right.
I rolled about 3/4 inch up the screen and then used a squeegee (again, came from Zagg, but a credit card would do as well) to force the protector down onto the screen from the center of this area out towards the edges. This causes the protector to stick in this area and guarantees alignment for the remaining screen area.
Gradually work your way to the top squeezing the water out as you go to the sides and up.
Use a tissue to dry the edges of the drops of water that squeeze out.
In a day or so, any remaining water (minor) under the screen protector will have evaporated and you will be left with a perfect surface with no bubbles at all, and no dust.
