Re: TWEAKED Audiopara.csv louder earpeice, spkphone, and BLUETOOTH WORKING!!!
Flyhigh, I did it! Thank you. The only thing I need now is to do a soft reset but need to know if that will delete any of my contacts. If not, then I should be good to go, thanks so much!

Re: TWEAKED Audiopara.csv louder earpeice, spkphone, and BLUETOOTH WORKING!!!
Not sure if this is the right thread to post in, but was wondering if anyone knew how to make the audio steps go up and down by 1 bar? By default on my Telus Touch Pro they go up and down by 3 bars at a time and I'd love to change it to just one.

Re: TWEAKED Audiopara.csv louder earpeice, spkphone, and BLUETOOTH WORKING!!!
This has been a frustrating experience, trying to get a louder volume on my Raphael. BUT I finally have it working quite loudly.
I learned a few things that more knowlegeable people probably already know, but us newbies are stumbling over: Many people report replacing their audiopara3.csv file with ZERO changes. This is because there is a registry setting that directs your Raphael to use an audio file other than audiopara3.csv. To the best of my knowlege, this is due to the 100db European limit. There are two ways to force your Raphael to look for audiopara3.csv: 1. Easy way . . . Use Diamond Tweak to "disable" the "100 db Sound Limitation" setting in Section 3.3. Exit Diamond Tweak to save setting changes. Then soft reset. 2. Or edit the registry . . . In HKLM->Drivers->BuiltIn->WaveDev change AcousticFile entry to point to your audiopara3.csv file, then soft reset. Credit goes to Larik in post #252 for this enlightening fact. First part is done. Now your Raphael looks at the right file. Unfortunately (or fortunately), there are many edited version of this Excel database out there. One that I tried actually turned the back speaker (speakerphone) completely off! The one that worked for me is dated 9-28-08 and is 67.5kb in size. I don't remember where I found it and it's late and I'm ready for bed, but that particular version worked very well for me (back speaker and front speaker, I have not tested it with wired headphones or bluetooth). My compliments to whoever edited it. Remember, the current registry settings and the version of audiopara3 that you now have on your phone are NOT what ATT/Sprint/etc. installed on your phone. Rather, they are whatever the chef cooked into your new ROM. So after every ROM upgrade, you will have to redo this procedure (unless your chef does it for you). So save any good audiopara3 file that works well for you in a safe place. I hope this post is helpful to some of you other newbies. If you old pros note errors above, please let me know and I'll edit it. YOUR RESULTS MAY VARY. Good luck. |

Re: TWEAKED Audiopara.csv louder earpeice, spkphone, and BLUETOOTH WORKING!!!
First off BadBoy, thanks for posting the kick *** files. Now I have to keep the volume at about half when I talk to someone with my phone .
I was wondering however, if it is possible to increase the overall speaker volume instead of just the speakerphone volume? I have already used DiamondTweak to essentially max out the volume, but compared to the volume of the speakerphone, the speaker is just not there . TIA for any assisstance.

Re: TWEAKED Audiopara.csv louder earpeice, spkphone, and BLUETOOTH WORKING!!!
I'm trying to find a "happy medium" here. Where I work is noisy (there is constant BG music & somebody is constantly getting paged)
When I had a Titan, I couldn't hear sh!t on it & if not for GC's audiopara file (which made it REAL loud) I would have had to dump the POS. The TouchPro was nowhere near as bad volume wise as the stock Titan, but I still needed it to give some serious volume at work. When I first tried the TP audiopara it didn't make any difference at all. After a couple delete & reinstalls & a bunch of restarts all of a sudden it decided to work & brought up the volume dramatically & I thought I was good to go. The problem is, although it sounded SUPER to me people on the other end started complaining that they where getting a terrible echo or "your phone is making awful noises that are hurting my ear etc". (this did not happen at all in my Titan). I ended up removing the AP file & everything was fine again except I can't hear very well at work............ ~John Last edited by jmorton10; 01-08-2009 at 09:12 AM. |
