Try a soft reset then immediately move file. Also be sure to use something like total commander or sktools. Regular explorer or PC connection/sync or diskdrive mode will not overwrite windows files on the phone.

not true, i was able to use the stock file explorer to copy the file from the bluetooth storage folder (i sent the file via BT form my laptop to the PRO) directly into the windows folder. it overwrote the file with no problem. i confirmed this early on in this thread...

This file will BOOST earpiece, speakerphone, and bluetooth volume!!! HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!!!!

I have included a lighter boost file for those that thought it was too loud!!!

Remember use Resco File Explorer or Total Commander and copy the file to your windows directory overwriting the old file and softreset!! ENJOY!!!

I tried copying over the file to my windows directory after downloading total commnader, and it kept telling me that i was not authorized to copy this file. any thoughts. ( i had to rename the lite boost file to audiopara3 because it would not attempt to replace the old file otherwise.)

It is giving me the same error about not being authorized to copy the file and that it is in use. Soft reset is just cycling the phone off and then turning it back on right? I must be an idiot because I'm not getting this.

That is correct, try to rename the file outside of the windows directory and then put it into the windows directory and have it replace it that way. I also ran into that error using Resco file explorer but I was able to fix it renaming it before I placed it into the directory.

Today's update:

I installed the AudioPara3.zip onto my GF's Diamond and she's so happy, the sound is spot on, on her phone! For me, I did a hard re-set, it looks like another program was giving the file issue or something, IDK, but I installed the AudioPara3liteboost.zip on my TP and all the problems I had before ARE GONE! It works perfectly now and both my GF and I are really happy. The sound quality on this phone are better then my Mogul, but no as good as it was on my Sprint Instinct. Either way, I'm satisfied because I no longer struggle to hear the person on the other end. For TP users, if you need it a bit louder AudioPara3.zip would work great, but if it gets too distorted, just lower the volume by 1 or 2 bars. Thanks again to the OP!

What program are you using to move the file? Resco File Explorer is what I have been using and it hasn't given me a problem overwriting system files. One thing that I had to do to fix a error that I had was having was to make sure the name was right "AudioPara3" and then put it into the windows directory. I did not need to do a soft re-set or anything like that to move the file over to overwrite. I just did a soft- reset to test it once it was copied.

I used total commander and i am still getting a message saying the item could not be placed "you do not have permission to create this item" any thoughts on how to get around this.
