yeah gmail wont install for me either...it tells me that their is no application supporting gmail or something like that but yeah i wish it worked but hey i can just go on opera lol

I'm taking my TP back to hopefully get another one. The screen goes back and forth(landscape on and off, keyboard lights on and off) when i have the keyboard out. I think the switch for the keyboard is flaky. Other than that the phone is fantastic and much faster than the mogul.

The TP is my first WM phone. I like the classy look but am quite annoyed by some bugs. Do you guys have any solutions?

1) When I am using my keyboard to type in Internet Explorer, I can't see any of the text. The cursor moves but the text doesn't show up. It's like the font color is white. It works fine with the on screen keyboard but the hardware keyboard has this problem. Anybody else having this problem?

2) Is there a way to send a text message to numbers like "googl". It stands for 46645 but I don't know how to type "googl" in and have the phone convert it into 46645. Also, with the "Phone Keypad" selected (the one that has digits with three letters assigned to each digit) and typing "googl" enters letters into the TO field. The phone doesn't recognize that as a valid destination. Anyone know a way around this?

are you using the Diamond Tweaks tools?
If you are in landscape mode,check to see if cleartype is enabled or not while in landscape..If so..turn it off.I had that issue this afternoon once I enabled it..my text was back when I turned it off

I'm not using any tweaks. I tried to turn on ClearType but that didn't fix anything. It just made the text look like crap. This phone has wayyyy too many bugs.

is the sliding mechanism different than the mogul? it feels somewhat stiff, like there is not spring or magnetic snap action. Not the end of the world or even that big of a deal just wondering if everyones is like that or its just me.

Is there a way to power on the device w/ any of the other buttons besides the power button? There's not an option for it in Settings > Buttons like there was on the PPC-6700.

I had the same problem, but I looked and saw that there was a small plastic piece HTC puts on it. I peeled it off and it slides smooth now! Open your phone and look behind the screen, it wedges between the keyboard.

Actually, both the Mogul and Apache ac power adapters work just fine, I now have an adapter I can take to work, one to leave home, and a spare.
PS, the Car adapters work fine, as well.
