You should go ahead and order the cables. It's a simple RCA cable with composite video and stereo audio. The connection for the phone is the same as all HTC phones, so nothing to worry about. I myself am about to order one.

Diamond doesn't have the functionality...

Well the hardware would have to be there and if it was there really isn't a reason for the Diamond not to have the feature unlocked. But I guess they did that with the GPS on the Touch/Mogul.

I wouldn't think so but I guess you never know. The only thing would be the software wasn't ready. BUt they already have the software on the Touch Pro working. I'd say it's very unlikely.

FYI GPS on touch/mogul was never unlocked until HTC themselves released an update unlocking it for sprint

It was originally locked due to the licensing scheme of the chips in the phone - HTC has to pay licensing fees to unlock each feature. I imagine sprint paid to get GPS on their version of the phone, and people just moved that software to the devices of other carriers.

Since tv-out would not be built into these chips, there would be no reason for HTC to lock up the functionality if it was built in.

Take a look at the picture. It's video, and left and right audio. Now look at your TV and you will see the same connections. They are color coded.

Do you think that they will ever offer a better connection? Like s-video or possibly component/vga? Do any phones have anything more than standard composite?

Yea I saw the cables b4 I was just wondering was the euro voltage was the same as ours with the tv-out cables. But I guess they the same huh?

As far as I know voltage would only apply to the charger. Like I said you should be all clear to order.
