I had just talked with a Sprint rep and they told me that it is still set to be released to public on Oct 19. And for me to check out my local Sprint store on that day to get the phone.

The newest update says 10/30 soft launch, 11/2 for hard launch. It's not going to be the 19th.

I'm not sure where Chappy received this info but it says it in the Sprint Playbook for Managers that the device launch is going to be October 30th. I'm not sure about where though, obviously Telesales, and for the stores, just a guess but probably the first week of November if not later.

Here is the letter I just received from ecare.

Dear Mr. xxxxxx,

Thank you for your reply.

The account reflects that "HTC Touch Diamond" is active since October
04, 2008. I understand that you wish to swap the handset to HTC Touch
Pro. The handset is under 30 days replacement policy and you can
exchange the handset for the HTC Touch Pro. However the launch date for
the "HTC Touch Pro" is October 19th.
