Re: HTC Touch Pro Release Date!
Yep, Judd... you found out about the some-what hidden discount that Sprint offers for renewing your contract. They don't tell everyone about it, but it has been around for a very very long time.
I've been getting the $70 per line for the last 6 or so years (possibly more, but I'm only certain of the last 3 times I renewed my contract) |

Re: HTC Touch Pro Release Date!
I am past my 24 months for my phone but the actual contract for the account is up in Feb. Do I need to wait until Feb to get a new phone so I can get the $70 a line. Cause I got four lines and that is about the cost of the Pro, or probably will be by Feb.

Re: HTC Touch Pro Release Date!
If you get any discounts/rebates for your phone they will likely require you to sign a new 2 year agreement.
Ask them to give you the $70 per line service credit for doing so. Keep in mind that if the first CSR person tells you no, that you can ask to speak with retentions and/or that person's supervisor. Remember that when you ask Sprint the same question 5 times you get 5 different answers. Usually I go the other way around and never have had any problems: I wait for my contract to expire, call Sprint, ask for the $70 per line service credit and see if they have anything else to offer. Then later after that I get a new device. |

Re: HTC Touch Pro Release Date!
So about this $70 per line thing:
I am on a plan with my mother for 1500 [or so] between both of us. Does that mean that I can take her $70 credit and apply it to my upgrade? And if I do so, will she not have any upgrade credit left?

Re: HTC Touch Pro Release Date!
Don't make this harder than it is. For any line that is out of contract (and perhaps close to being out of contract if you can talk the into it) you can get $70 credit simply by asking and by signing a new 2 year agreement.
That's it. Whose line it is doesn't matter. You get $70 per line service credit for resigning your contract when you are out of contract. The $150 2 year credit you get for having the same device for 2 years is seperate fro this. You can get both credits. I would recommend getting the $70 service credit first before upgrading your device *OR* at the same time you upgrade your device. |

Re: HTC Touch Pro Release Date!
I ended getting $100 credit when I asked them what benefits would I get if I resigned my contract.
