Here's the offical release from Sprint. Looks like diamond on the 14th and Pro on the 19th of October

Anybody read that little snippet in the Sprint news release that it will indeed have a business card scanner! In case you guys don't want to go to the newsrelease website, here's the info on the touch pro (w/ the info on the business card scanner bolded):

Yeah I saw that and smiled from ear to ear. Is there any way to order this from telesales and have them give me an instant $100 rebate rather than having to mail that crap in?

I dunno. When I ordered my Mogul through the 3rd party company that handles all orders (EVP) for the corporation I work with, I got all instant rebates (no mail ins).

I seriously hope cNet has the dimensions wrong because based on what they're saying, it's only .3 inches smaller and .3 inches thinner w/ the same depth, as the Mogul.

I seriously was hoping it was at least 1/2 an inch smaller (less tall) than the Mogul.

Finally time to get rid of my 6700. I was one of the first people to order mine via telesales in september of 2005, i am definitely gonna try to get mine the same way again

Well, you'll be one of the few that will actually be eligible for the FULL rebate (if you want it). $299.99 + tax is a steal IMHO. So Kudos to you for holding out on upgrading to the Mogul.

I asked this in the diamond thread and got 1 response so I'll ask here and see if anyone knows.
So I was messing around and set up an order online for 3 new phones on my current family plan just to get an idea what I was looking to spend, when I clicked CANCEL I was redirected and offered an additional $50 on each phone to continue with the order. That was above and beyond the MIR and instant rebate. I set it up with instinct since it was the newest one on at the time and was considering purchasing it until reading the threads here. Now i'm holding out for the pro. Does Sprint do this with every online order? Think they'll do it with the Diamond or Pro? Maybe another way to get the price down?
