They can still release it then push an update in 2 weeks. I _need_ a phone, 2 weeks is a long time to wait when I've already been phoneless waiting for a month as it is. And they have said in official capacity that it will be available on the 19th, so to not announce a delay would be very irresponsible on their part, given the fairly high profile of this release.

I went in to Best Buy and they were saying that the phone will be IN STORE on Sunday the 26th (shipped to them on the 24th) or if it is in monday's shipment out on the floor Tuesday the 28th. Not too sure how good the info is as they were also saying it was $299, with a non renewal price of $799, yes $799 with out activation.

$799 is the cost that shows up in our inventory system. That does not mean that it is the price that anyone will pay. This could be so high to stop people from pre-selling.

$799 ... what .... should be $599 without renewal.... maybe that was BBs plan if sprint was releasing the phone on the 19th.. now with the supposed delay who knows.... BB i would think should also be impacted .. and when is the Fuze (AT&T touch pro) going to be released with AT&T .. the 23rd?.. at least we can go there and check out the phone hands on prior to getting sprint one

Yep another thing I find funny ppl saying evp is not "sprint" well how can they bill it to your account or look to see if you can get the MIR haha. You hit the nail dead on the head with that one. Ok now that I have your attention, LOL. I know I don't have a lot of posts and all so everyone can take this for your own worth. I'm a Sprint rep for a corporate repair store and im the one guy my manager turns to to do plan-o-gram setups for my store and the store we were at together before this one. I have already received the promo box for the TP, store layout to where its going to be displayed and the security claw. I also have a rep from Telesales that ordered my Mogul back in June '07 and we have been close since then (2 trips to Cali, DAMN shes cute). Anyways, talked to her this morning and just got off the phone with employee sales, both said the same thing, except my friend said "talk to you lata"...... Am I dragggggin this out or what??? LOL..........

Touch Pro WILL, I repeat, WILL release to the public Sunday morning (10/19) via Telesales. Employees will have to go the normal route to order ours. Now heres the kicker for employees, if any are reading this, they have not restricted sales to us just yet. That decision will be made within the first few hours of sales. If the demand hits the magic number, then we will be blocked from ordering until consumer demand is met, same as Instinct and Diamond. I have no idea how the whole BestBuy sales thing is working and will not put out speculations as I see that can get a man flamed broiled in here.

Oh yeah, just in case it hasn't been mentioned or I just haven't seen it myself, Pro will come with the same style backing as Diamond except in Silver.

Email i recieved this morning from ecare.....they seem to be the most knowledgeable department within all of sprint so i believe a sooft launch will happen on 10-19-08
