It's Assisted GPS. You can still get a lock on GPS satellites when you don't have cell coverage, it's just a slower time-to-lock. Many have reported difficulty in getting a lock when travelling internationally, but that is more of an issue with stored satellite information not clearing and weak standalone reception. I know of at least one forumite who has reported using his Titan in the far north (think icebergs and snow drifts) without a cell tower for miles and miles.

Yes. Part of my original point was you'll get slower lock times when out of range of cell towers

You can use GPS with your phones radio completely off, so if you have aGPS it will work without a cell signal.

100% positive about this. I am connected to my wifi, with the cell off sitting in my apartment. I have 3 satellites connected according to google maps.

Re: GPS, Sprint TV, Visual Voicemail

You know, what the hell is this thread even about. This is the Raphael forum. The Mogul already has GPS, Sprint TV, and Sprint Music. I think it would be foolish to think the Raphael wouldn't
1. It uses the same chipset.
2. Sprint TV and Sprint Muisc are cash cows for Sprint.

Re: GPS, Sprint TV, Visual Voicemail

I just flashed the HTC Touch Pro and lost my Sprint TV and Nav as well. How can I get them back?
