like if we go buy a gsm diamond backing from ebay....will it fit?

That much information may be a bit much to expect this early on, but I believe there is usually a difference in the devices going from gsm to cdma (vofue vs. elf as an example) and with the diamond being that small, I would expect there to be a good chance that it may not be the same.

If they are making it as small as possible, the size of the gsm and cdma hardware will make the difference and cdma phones usually need to be bigger.

Im kinda bumbed they chose BURGUNDY over black, but at least for the Diamond its a good thing they went with the rubberized back. All the reviews of the GSM Diamond were complaining of it being a fingerprint magnet within a few minutes of usage.

I must say that I'm extremely pissed off that Sprint would do something so stupid. I hope to hell that it looks a crapload better than I am imagining it right now, or come hell or high water, they will hear about it.

Why the HECK would they pull a stunt like this? ESPECIALLY for the DIAMOND not having the DIAMOND cover? WTF?! IDIOTS @ SPRINT BOARD: ITS CALLED AN HTC 'DIAMOND', and IDK, maybe it had the back cover because IT LOOKED LIKE A DIAMOND!! Good lord! What the heck were you guys thinking??!!?!!?!?!?!?!?

For my heart's sake, I hope you're wrong about the color and back cover... I hope they release it just like HTC had it [minus the front camera is alright]

Totally agree with saumaun. HTC has been doing amazing things recently for the WM image. Their slim stylish devices, innovative interfaces, and pleasing UI's are one of the few things keeping Windows Mobile alive. From what I've seen so far, Sprint has taken an awesome looking device and only subtracted from that starting point. I guess we'll see.

Sorry I have been a bit quiet on the forums the past day, after MY photo ended up being stolen and branded by phonearena then ending up on engadget, Ive had to lay low for a bit at work. But I promise that I will get you some high res photos and video soon....

You should brand your next images & videos with your screename at PPCGeeks so the credit goes where it should...

I agree, they should have not taken or modified anything.
Incredibly stupid jackass move on their part to remove the front camera, as even the hope of a future application for it would have made everyone migrate to sprint from other carriers.

@Ethereal: You really need to start doing your homework before you jump in with guns blazing. It actually IS possible to do simultaneous voice and data over Revision A. Sprint may not be making use of it, but it is possible.

gbm85 - VOIP DOES NOT COUNT! Only UMTS/HSDPA offers TRUE simultaneous voice and data. PERIOD! I've done my homework and Sprint and Verizon killed EV-DV before it even got out the door, which means they're screwed until LTE.

Ive got a pic for ya right here. Sorry but it was taken with my mogul so Its not the greatest quality. Ill take some better ones later on to post. So I dont need to wait to see who has the right information. I work in the one place in the country that has the best possible sources.

How about some better pics of the Sprint Diamond(more angles, different screens, BETTER CAMERA)

Also, since you have this awesome phone in your possession at HOME, think you can dump the ROM? I think a lot of us Vogue users might be able to benefit from the CDMA ATI Drivers and newer SYS.
