Re: Linux/Android on CDMA Touch Pro -- Now working on Verizon! And with GPS!
Does anyone know which versions of zImage are compatible with the Raph500?
I have been using the one that came with this package and can get things installed with it but I was wondering if anyone knows which if any newer zimages work. My guess is the newer ones don't as many of the newest releases don't even have a startup for Raph500. I am trying to get one of the releases with the Hero Sense working but the package I found is not all that good so I am trying to fold in the sense stuff into a XDAndroid package. |

Not many devs with the 500, it's a really crippled device... Even moreso than the normal RAPH's . With that said, the newest kernels should work just fine! Let us know if they don't. |

Thanks arrrghhh, I'll give the new Kernels a shot.
I know Raph500 is not a device for any decent use of Android but I'm just basically trying to get some familiarity with the OS in general to prep for a future upgrade. I'm holding out on the upgrade until VZW has a 4G Android since it's a company account and I am using these builds to lower the learning curve on the OS so I can hit the ground running. I was intrigued with the Hero version I found on XDA with Sense but it does not work well and thought maybe I could throw it into another distro but I have since found out it is built into the system.sqsh and that is a bit over my tech grade right now. LOL I'm gonna try the FR3 release and see how it goes. Appreciate the help and all the great work you guys are doing on porting this! |

Well failed to even boot up on intial install of XDAndroid Froyo (FR3)
Not sure why though. Tried changing zimage, modules and rootfs but to no avail. I guess I will just use Makk's release to play and learn the OS with. |

Re: Linux/Android on CDMA Touch Pro -- Now working on Verizon! And with GPS!
Not that its super important (its just awesome to have android on my phone to mess with) but has anyone managed to get Angry Birds installed? It fails no matter what I try. I have try manually downloading from the internets, the Android Market and it fails every time I try to install. I have had some other game installs fail too but apps seem to install ok or at least the ones I have tried. Any one have any clues how to get Angry Birds installed?
