Now, all you need is to add these settings and voila... MMS IS WORKING!!! HELLS YEAHH BABY!!!! http://forum.ppcgeeks.com/showpost.p...postcount=1070 If you cant find all the builds and such, find them here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=601751 If anyone needs to know the packages I am using, pm me and I will see if I can send them to you, however everything is the latest with the exception of the zImage, that one is build: Build: htc-msm-android@20100310_191416 kernel:f75c7fb52f31624a288b33dc5429e717a5179cc5 Wi-Fi:12e1f9b75b92213a6b028b3ab35a6e22f7217f80 Date: Wed Mar 10 19:14:16 2010 +0100 HOPE THIS HELPS SOMEONE. IF THIS WAS ALREADY POSTED THEN DAMN, SORRY I MISSED IT CUS THIS HAS BEEN BUGGING ME. I tested this and sent an MMS to my wifes TP2, she got it!!! YEAH BABY... I am about to try the other way around... see if I get anything... I think that this build works because it actually has a camera and functional gallery. The camera does not work but since it does detect something, it allows for the transaction to complete EDIT 1: NO!!!!! I never received the message back from my wifes TP2... I have attached a screen shot of android running on my system with the mms sent... EDIT 2: I will zip up the files and upload... I dont know if they fit here, otherwise, I may have to have them hosted. I will update tomorrow. Before I go to work if possible (i gotta be at work at 6am central)... EDIT 3: Screw that, got a MEGAUPLOAD account set up, uploading my first file. I will post here and see if anyone can replicate my findings. COME ON!!! 12 more minutes. 100 megs... worth it though. THANKS TO ALL ON DEVELOPMENT FOR EVERYTHING, I DID NOTHING MORE THAN MIXMATCH SOME PACKAGES AND ADD INFORMATION FROM OTHER USERS, NONE OF MY THINGS ARE MINE!!! THESE ARE FROM THESE FINE CONTRIBUTORS TO GET THIS WORKING. I DO NOT DO THIS, I JUST TRY TO HELP THE COMMUNITY. LET ME KNOW IF IT WORKS... I WILL POST LINK TO WHAT I AM USING... EVEN MY CALIBRATION FILE, BUT NOT THE .IMG BECAUSE ITS JUST TOO BIG. YOU CAN MAKE YOUR OWN...JEJEJE EDIT 4: MEGAUPLOAD LINK TO THE FILES BEING USED ON MY SPRINT CDMA TOUCH PRO!!! http://www.megaupload.com/?d=U8FR422H Last edited by mapaz04; 03-12-2010 at 12:01 AM. Re: Linux/Android on CDMA Touch Pro (RAPH800)
Got the march 1st build to boot and run beautifully wifi worked like a charm and I seemed to be getting pretty good evdo signal (phone not activated don't know if the cell radio works or not). Was even reasonably stable, downloaded a few apps from the market place via wifi. But when I shut it down and tried to boot into android again haret starts looking for a "default.txt" that doesn't exist and refuses to do anything from there. The only way I can get it to boot again is to format the sd card and rebuild the file structure, but even then if I shut down or the batt dies it refuses to boot.
Using the xdandroid 1.3.10 set up with 20100309_201223 zImage and I have been very pleased but it is becoming tiresome to rebuild the sd card for every boot. Any one have any idea whats going on or what I can do? Ha my old touch pro is running a newer version of android than my actual android phone (samsung moment) Also my thanks and admiration to makkonen and rest of the devs for giving their time to help all of us out! Re: Linux/Android on CDMA Touch Pro (RAPH800)
Alright, 10+ dowloads for the file I posted... Any comments?
***IT HAS BEEN BROUGHT TO MY ATTENTION THAT I MISQUOTED THE PREVIOUS POST. *** ***THE BUILD WHERE I WAS ABLE TO GET MMS WORKING WAS FOR 2.0.1 (WHICH IS WHAT I LINKED) BUT I REPLIED TO THE 2.1 BUILD. So sorry for the confusion guys... ... but at the end of the day, MMS is still working on the one I have posted... SOMEONE please let me know that it worked on their devices. I will now try to get myself a copy of the 2.1 build and see if I can replicate my results. Downloading the build now... Hope its done before I hit the road to go to work. 5.36am where i am at... gotta be at work by 6.30am... SI SE PUEDE!!! (IT CAN BE DONE!!!) AS STATED, SORRY FOR THE CONFUSION. I MUST HAVE BEEN TIRED OR DELIRIOUS WHEN I POSTED LAST. Still cant believe I replied to the wrong thread though.... Ohh well... Ill report my findings. quik05: Have you tried another startup.txt? You may also have the wrong kernel/zImage... this is the one I tried and worked for me... http://zimages.googlecode.com/svn/au...310_191416.tar Replace those files and see what you get. (easier than waiting for the img to rebuild all the time). I have also attached the current startup.txt file that I am using becuase it is the one that I can verify to be working since it is what I AM currently on... Hope that helps. PS... not that y'all care but I gotta go to work now and the freaking 2.1 build did not download... in time. Still has 2 minutes left. I will download from my phone at work... I will post my findings. THANKS AGAIN DEVELOPERS. Last edited by mapaz04; 03-12-2010 at 07:53 AM. Reason: Reply to quik05 |

As a sidenote, I tried that 2.1 build... It was very buggy. Kept freezing up for me, and there were no APNs - so no data. Every time I tried creating an APN it would freeze after I saved it and tried to go back. It had a lot of cool new features (obviously) but it'll probably be best to wait until the main XDAndroid gets there. |

Re: Linux/Android on CDMA Touch Pro (RAPH800)
what kernel did u use for 2.1... i have d 1 i posted and its wrkn. @ wrk right now so im back in winmo... (batt life issue here)... i will try what youve stated and check into it... btw, i mean module and zImage, not kernel...jejeje
UPDATE 1: got 2.1 to work with APN, just use the onsceen keyboard 2 use... otherwise, it WILL force CLOSE on you. MAKE SURE U ADD THE ZIMG IVE POSTED! IT WORKS i admit is slower....but it works Last edited by mapaz04; 03-12-2010 at 10:02 AM. Reason: updatn for apn on touch pro |

Re: Linux/Android on CDMA Touch Pro (RAPH800)
dude thanks for the package, the guy that does the updates should do a direct download for the lastest android pack instead of all the links. well im downloading it right now hope that it works

Re: Linux/Android on CDMA Touch Pro (RAPH800)
Yea... they make "direct download" packs as you call them of the "big" releases.
The reason for all the links is you notice that those packages are getting DAILY updates? It would be a huge issue to have to repackage these every... single... day. If you want to, go ahead! I just know that no one else wants to. They'd rather just get the updates they need and copy 'em over. It's the easiest for all. So if you want to wait for the direct download packages, that's fine - you'll probably get the most important stuff wrapped up in a neat little ball. If you want daily updates, you gotta do a little legwork yourself. Also, just keep in mind that some of these daily updates will have regressions - so they could break something. Hence the reason this is all at your own risk, and also the reason that we don't have complete daily download packages. Last edited by arrrghhh; 03-12-2010 at 10:57 AM. Re: Linux/Android on CDMA Touch Pro (RAPH800)
